Robert “Bob” Eugene Kiser, age 73, passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2024, in Vancouver, WA. He was born on April 28, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK.

 Loyal to his country, Bob served in the United States Navy, Submarine Service from July 1, 1968 to May 30, 1972. After military service, Bob continued as a public servant, dedicating his career to the United States Department of Energy, Bonneville Power Administration from November 19, 1972 to January 3, 2008. Starting his career as an apprentice electrician. Bob's loyalty, dedication, and drive, acted as foundations to build a federal career spanning over 40 years, ultimately retiring from Bonneville Power as the Western Oregon Regional Manager for Transmission Field Services in Eugene, Oregon. One of his earliest and most notable acts of his career was saving the life of a coworker and friend, Jim Parsley, who inadvertently contacted a high-voltage circuit. Without hesitation, Bob performed CPR, saving Jim’s life and creating a bond of two families that continues today.

Bob had a love for life and embarked on countless adventures. Spending time with his family and friends, traveling, golfing, camping, lounging on warm beaches, and scuba diving were among some of his favorite past times. Bob was also an avid reader and had a passion for history. He also had a tremendous love for music and loved sharing his favorite songs, lyrics and poems.

Bob is survived by his wife, Leslie of Vancouver, WA; his three daughters, Darcie of Gig Harbor, Washington, Misty of Golden, Colorado, Tiffany of Ridgefield, Washington, and son, Cameron of Eugene, Oregon. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his stepson, Tyler Chambers.

To honor Bob's life and service to his country, full military honors will be performed graveside at Northwood Park and Cemetery in Ridgefield, WA on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. A reception will immediately follow in the chapel at Northwood Park. May he rest in peace
