Richard Klingforth passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard was born in Portland Oregon on March 8,1949 to parents Edward John and Aleen Klingforth. He grew up surrounded by family, sharing memorable times with his brothers, Charles, Bob, and Dave and sister Sharon.

One of Richard's proudest achievements was his career as a professional bowler. He found great joy and challenge in the sport, and his dedication and success in this field were tangible proof of the determination and discipline he carried throughout all aspects of his life.

Richard will be dearly remembered for his quick-witted humor, his sarcastic banter, and his immense kindness. His caring nature radiated to all who knew him and his generosity knew no bounds. Richard had a lively spirit and his presence added a touch of light-heartedness to every situation. He loved to bring laughter and joy into the lives of his loved ones.

Richard was a cherished family man, whose love and bonds will live on in his surviving children, Lyra Morrison and Benjamin Klingforth. His memory will not only be honored by his brothers but also his sister-in-law Karena Dawson, his niece Andrea Kollmer, his nephew Byron Klingforth and his grandkids.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Edward John and Aleen Klingforth, his sister, Betty Joanne, his sister, Sharon Flatness, his brother Charles Klingforth and his niece, Nanette Klingforth.

Richard's absence leaves a void in our hearts, but his spirit and memory will continue to inspire us. His wings were ready but our hearts were not.
