Ralph “Bob” R. Cooper, a loving husband and father and grandfather, passed away on November 27, 2023 in Vancouver, Washington. Ralph is survived by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn; daughter Debra; son-in-law Mike and his precious granddaughter, Cadence.

Ralph was born in New Jersey, where he grew up and attended school and married. Ralph had been retired for the last 12 years, moving to Ridgefield to be closer to his daughter and family.

Ralph joined the United States Navy and served on the USS Coral Sea, during the Vietnam War. He was a volunteer fireman at Defiance Engine #3 and #4 in Hopatcong, NJ before moving his family to Hampton Township where friends and family often visited. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Material Flow Systems in Ontario, California as Director of Engineering and Key Handling Systems in Hackensack, NJ as Head of Engineering for 27 years.

Ralph loved working around his home and gardening. He was a fan of baseball and hockey and loved to attend the local sporting events. His hobbies included building model ships, Legos, and building igloos for Debra. Ralph will be greatly missed and remembered by his family and circle of friends.

A private funeral service is scheduled for December 5, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.
