Loretta was born in Ink, Arkansas to Martha Alice and Thelmor Chester Evans. Loretta was the oldest of three children, her brothers are Jim Evans (California) and John Evans (Longview).
In 1948, Loretta married Wallace Carl Trotter, (aka “Red”) a marriage that lasted 60 years. Loretta and Red decided to make the trek from Arkansas to Washington in 1950, looking for better work and thus a better life. They lived in Longview, Washington for a number of years before buying property and moving to Rose Valley in 1959. Together, Loretta and Red owned and operated T & T Tire in Kelso for over 40 years.
Loretta and Red have five children, Rosemary Anderson, Elizabeth “ Biz” Brentano, Robert Trotter, Jerry Trotter, and Steven Trotter. With five kids, needless to say, Loretta and Red have numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great- grandchildren.
Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her God and her family. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, crossword puzzles, and working in her flowers.
She was loved by many and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Red, and her son Jerry.
A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2 at Steele Chapel. Loretta will be laid to rest at Longview Memorial Park.
