Clayton Owen Taylor Carney, 23, of Longview passed away on May 8th, 2022.
A celebration of Clayton’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 17th at Steele Chapel. Family friend Rick Ensign will officiate.
Clayton was born October 31st, 1998 in Longview, WA. He was the most adorable child with wild curls. He brought so much joy to his family. His passions were cars and trucks, bull riding, and country music. He had an uncanny memory and associated everybody he knew with the vehicle they drove. His dream was to become a bull rider, and was so proud of himself when he was able to try it a couple of times. He loved the guitar and drums and jamming with his friends.
Clayton graduated from Toutle High School in 2017. He loved his friends, of which he had many. In fact, everyone he met, he considered a friend. Friends and schoolmates say he was polite, kind, warm and he loved to make others laugh. Friends and family were number one in Clayton’s life. If he found himself with money to spare, he always wanted to treat his friends. That’s how Clayton showed his love and affection. He always made sure that his mom and grandma received a keepsake and some candy on every holiday. He had the biggest heart and an unlimited capacity for love.
Clayton was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Carney, in 2001; his grandfather, Clinton Carney, in 2018; his cousin, Jodie Sides, in 2018; and his friend Nick Krusmark journeyed to heaven with Clayton on May 8th, 2022. He is survived by his mother, Carol Sides of Longview; his sisters Natalie Cottell (Adam), Katelyn Iloff (Nick), and Whitney Owen (Zak), all of Pennsylvania; his grandparents, Maxine Sides and Travis McGee; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; his best friends, London Chamberlain, Kyler Hoyt, and Phillip Guay; and too many friends to count.
Memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks.
