September 10, 1965 — August 16, 2021

Pastor Marvin Willis Kasemeier III passed away suddenly on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the age of 55. He was the beloved pastor of New Song Worship Center in Kelso, WA, as well as the president of the Kelso Longview Ministerial Association, and a board member of the local YMCA and Longview Soccer Club.
Marv was born on September 10, 1965, in Olympia, WA. He graduated from Christian Life School in Lacey, WA, and went on to earn an Associate in Arts Degree in Music Theory from Centralia Community College. He married Eileen at Christian Life Church in Lacey, WA, in October of 1986, and they moved to Kelso in 1988. He worked as a house painter for many years as well as a music teacher for piano, drums, and vocals. He has been a youth leader, worship leader, pianist, choir conductor, mentor, and loved to encourage others to do their best with the talents God has given them.
While music was his passion, Marv also loved swimming at the YMCA and camping at the family favorite Salmon la Sac campground where he would jump off the bridge into the Cle Elum River. He also loved his community and would get involved in lots of different committees and community events. His family always knew how much he loved them, and they were willing to share him with the whole community.
